Description
This has been a go to headset for myself and members of our team.
That being said I would get a warranty on this product if possible. In my experience this can last a long time just laying in your backpack without issues. But if you are tough on the cord ends you may start to experience some wear and tear on the sound. Mind you I didn’t experience this till after 6 months of heavy use and laying unprotected in my backpack.
Pros:
I love that it can fit in my backpack easily and is pretty rugged. In a noisy coffee shop the detachable boom mic cuts out a lot of the background noise. Can plug directly into your phone or with a USB into your laptop. Fast and works right out of the box. The sound is great for making calls or some gaming after work.
Cons: The sound for podcasting or recording is just okay. It sounds a bit hollow, not as deep or as rich of a sound as I would like for that type of application
Price: For around $99 it’s usually a pretty good bargain.
If you want to spend a little bit more, check out my other favorite headset the Audio-Technica BPHS1 Broadcast Stereo Headset with Dynamic Cardioid Boom Mic.
John Schuster –
This has been my “go to” headset for the last couple years. It’s an affordable price for a top of the line headset. It works great in noisy coffee shops and work environments and plugs right into my phone!
